SKR offers rare guided hunt experiences for West Tennessee with guided Sandhill Crane hunts and Upland bird hunts.
Sandhill Crane Hunt
Sandhill Crane hunts are available for individuals who have drawn a Sandhill crane tag in Tennessee’s (TN) State Wide Zone. We offer exclusive private ground with the largest concentration of Sandhill Cranes in West TN. This area can winter up to 12,000 birds at the peak of the migration.
Clients will hunt in a field in a comfortable A frame blind, easily accessible to any age of hunter. Fully guided hunt includes decoy set up, calling and transport to the blind if needed. Sandhill Crane hunting is a rare water fowling experience with large prehistoric-like birds working in a decoy spread. This hunt is an adventure like no other in the waterfowl industry.

Only individuals with a Tennessee Sandhill Crane Tag may hunt. Applicants must be at least thirteen (13) years of age to compete in the drawing. An Annual Hunting and Fishing License, (Type 001). Plus, a Tennessee Waterfowl License (Type 005) or equivalent licenses (such as Lifetime or Annual Sportsman), are required in order to enter either drawing. Hunters receiving SE Crane Zone tags will not be eligible to apply for crane tags in the statewide draw. Tags are non-transferable.
Sandhill Crane Identification Test: All sandhill crane hunters must pass an internet-based crane identification test each year before hunting. All tags issued are invalid until the “Sandhill Crane Test” validation code is written on the tag. The purpose of this test is to improve hunter’s awareness and ability to distinguish between sandhill cranes and other protected species which may be encountered while hunting. Prices for Sandhill Crane hunts are $300/per hunter.
Upland Hunts
Upland bird hunts are fully guided on a privately managed wildlife preserve with professionally trained dogs. Pheasant and/or quail hunts available.
Prices as follows:
$250/person: Pheasant hunt (5 pheasants)
$350/person: Unlimited Quail hunt
*additional pheasants can be added to hunt if desired*
Minimum group size of 2 hunters is required. We can accommodate larger size, however, the maximum amount of shooters will be 5.
No license required. Birds can be cleaned and bagged on site.
